Hand Saws
Silky handsaws come in several shapes and sizes to fit the needs of professional arborists, landscapers and gardeners as well as outdoor enthusiasts, campers and hunters. Choose from aggressively cutting curved blades or the more precise-cutting straight blade saws. Be aware of tooth size as this feature varies within saw models – fine teeth for smaller and delicate cutting chores, large teeth for fast cutting of larger wood. All Silky non-folding (and several folding) saws come with their own specially designed blade covering scabbard/holster for protection of blade and user.

Curved Blade Saws
Preferred by professionals and hobbyists alike for incredible cutting performance on larger wood, Silky curved blades are designed to “rock the kerf” like no other saws! Choose from pocket sized folding models to thigh-length man-powered chainsaws. All Silky non-folding (and several folding) saws come with their own specially designed blade covering scabbard/holster for protection of blade and user.

Straight Blade Saws
Preferred by professionals and hobbyists alike for ease of maneuverability between and among tightly-spaced branches, straight blade saws are easier to control and less likely to nick nearby branches than curved blades. Straight blades also enable the user to manipulate hinge wood for precision log felling techniques. Although incredibly smooth and efficient cutters, straight blades aren’t quite as fast as curved blades.

Curved Blade Folding Saws
Curved blade saws are somewhat faster cutting than their straight counterparts because during the action the blade first creates a peak in the cut, then knocks it off.
|
Straight Blade Folding Saws
Straight blade saws are noticeably easier to control when cutting in and amongst tight growth (without nicking adjacent twigs) and allow user the ability to cut a straight hinge when felling weighty branches.
